About

Consider this website as an archive of my thoughts on random things. They can be anything — something I see on one occasion or everyday, something that happens that I happen to hear about, a movie I’ve watched, or anything else within the reach of the senses. Often, they occur to me as excuses to bring up and discuss in an accessible manner concepts I find are ill-understood except outside niche academic circles. On other occasions, I might observe how I, or others, feel about a certain real or hypothetical things or events, and feel that something worthwhile can be learned — or remembered (sometimes one won’t be able to distinguish between them) — by trying to give an account of that feeling. My main goal is to write these in such a way that doesn’t call upon prior knowledge of the jargons and the concepts used in academic circles that produced the work from which I learned to think about these. I want the kinds of feelings I describe and analyze here to become easily and ubiquitously identifiable; if not for any other reason, then because they are easy and ubiquitous. I may not always succeed in this global goal, but I’ll try my best, depending on the piece I’m writing and its specific, more local, goal. The pieces themselves will vary randomly in length — from snippets to essays.

See the Archive page for a complete list of all my pieces.
